SUKU MENTAWAI 'SIKEREI' T-SHIRT

AUD $35.00
The Mentawai peoples have survived for thousands of years through the practice and preservation of Arat Sabulungan, a complex cultural belief system that pays reverence to the spirits of their ancestors, the sky, ocean, rivers, land and all that is natural within. Sikerei, the Mentawai shaman, are responsible for the sustainability of this existence through their role as teacher, healer and protector of their people. The image printed on this t-shirt shows Sikerei, Aman Masit Dere, removing a poison arrow to be used during a hunt. Aman Masit Dere features heavily in the IEF documentary film, As Worlds Divide, and is a true leader and guardian of Mentawai culture.

Buy a t-shirt and support Aman Masit Dere and other Sikerei in their role as community educators. #asworldsdivide
